DMX Core 100: Stream Routing, compliance and Sig-Net
Part of What's new in DMX Core 100 - August to October 2026
Stream Routing (Sep 9-10)

DMX arriving on sACN, Art-Net or a DMX-512 input port now goes straight back out on every output mapped to the same slot, including the Govee, LIFX, WiZ and Shelly plugin outputs, and merges by priority with DMX Core 100's own cues and presets.
- Leave a console live on an installed rig. Console and the unit's schedules, cues and presets share the same fixtures, merged by priority. A console keeps streaming through Stop, is masked by Blackout and parked by Output Off.
- Convert between protocols. Take in sACN, Art-Net or DMX-512 and send the same universe out as Art-Net, sACN, KiNet, TPM2.net or DMX-512.
- Several inputs at once. Each input mapping row names its own protocol, so a console on sACN, another on Art-Net and a DMX-512 port can all be routed together. Recording still captures one protocol while the others keep routing.
- No accidental loops. Outputs that would feed themselves are flagged Routing Conflict, and a mapping that would close a loop is refused on save. A Live Sources table on Lighting Setup > Inputs shows every sender on the wire.
Protocol compliance (October)
- sACN (E1.31) (Oct 20). Announces its universes with E1.31 Universe Discovery, so tools like sACNView list it without being told what to watch. Stopping a stream sends the three Stream Terminated packets the standard requires. Malformed or truncated packets are discarded.
- Art-Net 4 (Oct 20). ArtPollReply goes unicast to the controller that polled. Packet layouts, length checks, sequence numbers and protocol-version handling were audited against the Art-Net 4 specification.
- Network output recovers on its own (Oct 20). If a cable is pulled or a switch restarts, sACN and Art-Net output resume as soon as the link is back, without a software restart.
- 2-port DMX-512 board, firmware 501 (Sep 9). Per-port End of Data Stop, ports used as inputs stay up during Output Off, and the board keeps up with sustained 40 fps streams.
Experimental: Sig-Net

DMX Core 100 now includes experimental support for Sig-Net, the new secure lighting protocol: authenticated Sig-Net output, input, routing and recording, with onboarding from the network passphrase.
- Turn it on under Settings > Advanced > Experimental Features.
- It's experimental, so please let us know how it works if you test it with other Sig-Net gear.
- Built on our open-source protocol libraries for Art-Net, sACN, KiNet and Sig-Net.
